Disney at the Movies in 2019

Are you ready for 2019? Yay, me either!;) We have all been sick and still trying to take down the Christmas decor, but that doesn’t mean I can’t look forward to all that is coming our way at the movie theater! lol! Last year was a pretty incredible year for Disney at the movies and this year will not disappoint. I’ve got the full line up for you and can’t wait to see which one you are most excited about…

First up on the deck is the new Captain Marvel movie hitting theaters March 8th, 2019. The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful superheroes.

Next up on the big screen will be the live action Dumbo coming March 29th, 2019. We all know and LOVE the original Dumbo, so I am pretty excited to see how they bring this classic Disney cartoon to real life!

On April 14th, 2019 Disney Nature is bringing Penguins waddling to a theater near you just in time for Earth Day.

Not long after that, on April 26th, 2019 Avengers: Endgame will be making its debut. The remaining avengers are back for an epic showdown to face the demigod who destroyed the planet.

One that I might be most excited for hits May 24th and that is the live action Aladdin. I have always loved the music to this movie and can’t wait to see it come to life with real characters.

Our entire family is counting down the days until June 21st, 2019 when Toy Story 4 comes into our lives. It’s pretty rare when a sequel is better than the original, but each of the Toy Story movies have gotten better every time. We truly can’t wait to see where the story takes us in June.

In the middle of summer on July 19th, 2019 get ready for more live action history when The Lion King comes back to the screen. I remember watching the original in the theater as a kid and fell in love with the story and music. My husband was even in the Lion King parade at Disneyland years ago, so this movie brings back some pretty sentimental emotions. We can’t wait to share this story with the kids!

Rounding out the summer blockbusters will be Artemis Fowl: Time to Believe, opening August 9th, 2019. Based on the book of a young boy who sets off on an adventure to find his missing father and finds himself in an unbelievable world. I haven’t read the book, but the premise of the movie sounds intriguing.

To end the year with a huge BANG will be FROZEN 2, set to open November 22nd, 2019 AND Star Wars: Epsidode IX opening December 20th, 2019. No trailers have been released for either of these movies yet, but rest assured I will share them with they do!
