Fun Fourth of July Fiesta
“You’re a grand ole’ flag you’re a high flying flag and forever in peace may you wave.”
We love the Fourth of July! There is something so nostalgic to me when you hear a traditional American song, see flags waving on every house and watch fireworks together as a family. Since this will be the first year in a very long time my husband will not be working I wanted to do something we could all enjoy. So I decided we need to have an old fashioned bbq with some friends to enjoy the warm summer air, which means creating the ultimate fun Fourth of July fiesta.
To begin I knew I wanted to decorate the kids playhouse since we will be outside cooking up hotdogs, playing games and enjoying the night sky. I also didn’t want to spend a lot of money to create this festive spot, so a friend told me I needed to check out Oriental Trading Company. They partnered with me to send me these decorations, but as always, all opinions are my own.
I ordered this super cute banner and hung it on the railing. It immediately turned the space into our Fourth of July headquarters.
Then I created a little space with our bench using a table runner, pillows and a canister with the cutest flag lollipops.
How to decorate for a fun Fourth of July Fiesta on a small budget. @OrientalTrading #fourthofjulydecor #partyplanning Click To TweetI think my favorite item that came was the adorable Fourth of July welcome mat. How cute is this? It definitely made the space feel warm and cozy.
These red candy bins were the perfect touch to the playhouse. I filled some with blue candies and others with straw then stuck the flag lollipops in them. Of course this was the kids favorite item that came.
We are so excited to celebrate the holiday as a family this year! Do you have plans? Do you have any fun traditions? Leave me a comment below and let me know!
