Magical Media Retreat 2024
Back for our third year in a row; the Magical Media Retreat 2024. Myself, along with Kim from The Parentologist and Justine from Little Dove Blog, came up with this idea to help other bloggers and content creators. So we decided to create a safe space for a small group of ladies to get to know each other, network, have fun and learn all at the same time.
Anyone can come to the retreat, in years past we have had photographers, small shop business owners, bloggers, YouTubers and content creators. We have had ladies that come from all over the U.S. and some that have come back all three years. Which is really a testament to all of the hard work that we put into planning the retreat each year. You can read about year one HERE and year two HERE.
The Magical Media Retreat 2024 was held at the Sheraton Park Hotel, which you can read all about HERE. It was a perfect location not only for our conference sessions, but for our optional Disneyland day. It only took us about 10 minutes to walk to Downtown Disney and the entrance to Disneyland.
Title Sponsors for the Magical Media Retreat
Pilot Pen
We had so much fun during our park day, including a snack break that was sponsored by Pilot Pen. Pilot Pens have always been my go-to pen. They are perfect when going to the park to get autographs from characters or writing postcards directly from Disneyland. As a group we all wrote post cards to our friends and family back home with our Pilot Pens. Then we dropped them right into the mailbox on Main Street U.S.A. Check out these LIMITED EDITION pens that help their Kids In Need Foundation which supports teachers and students in under-resourced schools.
Get Away Today
And speaking of Disneyland, another one of our sponsors for the retreat was Get Away Today. They offer discounts on tickets to Disneyland and other theme parks like Universal and Legoland. You can also find discounts on hotels on their site. If you use my code PRINCESSMOM you can get an additional discount. Make sure to check it all out HERE. They were generous enough to cover the cost of our brunch, which was delicious.
Brighton Jewelry
Our last title sponsor for the retreat was Brighton Jewelry. I’ve personally been a huge fan of this company ever since my sister introduced it to me years ago. She carried their items in her boutique shop and I started to acquire pieces year after year. All of their products are such a good quality and hold up extremely well over time. They gifted each attendee two pieces of jewelry, plus hosted our farewell dinner. They also sent a carry-on luggage for us to giveaway to one of our attendees. Product Sponsors for the magical media retreat
Darling Dream Co
Darling Dream Co. is a small shop, that isn’t so small anymore, but still family run. Bri, the creator and owner, is just the sweetest and has the cutest designs. She gifted each of us one of her amazing fanny packs, which can fit so much! You can add your Disney pins to it as well for a bit of flair. She also gave the three of us hosts shirts to wear for our park day.
Dear Foam Slippers
We all know and love this brand, so I was ecstatic that they wanted to give each of our attendees a pair of their super cozy slippers. I personally have been wearing my husband’s slippers, so these came at just the right time. You can shop a similar pair HERE.
Mama X Brand
I’ve worked with Mama X brand (formerly known as Tiny Trucker Co) a few times before this retreat and always love my items. The gifted each of our attendees one of their hats, which are always so cute and fit really well. I also have one of their sweaters and it is super cozy!
Marco Polo
If you haven’t heard of Marco Polo, let me be the first to tell you this is my favorite app for communicating with friends. You can leave video messages for people, then they can reply back whenever it is convenient for them. I can message people when I’m doing laundry, dishes, running errands, etc… The three hosts planned most of this retreat over Marco Polo messages. They gave each attendee a free upgraded subscription (you can download the regular app for free).
Pink Desert
Back for the second year in a row, our favorite online clothing store. They gave outfits to each of the hosts and gift cards for the attendees. They also attached the sweetest hair bows to each gift card. Shop my exact dress HERE.
Walli Cases
Also back for the second year in a row, our favorite phone cases. You can fit an ID or credit card in the phone case. In addition, you can prop up the phone with the convenient built in stand. You can shop my exact case HERE.
Love Corn
My new favorite salty snack, not your old school corn nuts, these are new and improved. These don’t break your teeth like the old ones did, these are crunchy, but easier on your pearly whites. They come in different flavors and I highly recommend this variety pack!
Kayla’s Cake
You can find these amazing macarons at Downtown Disney, in Fullerton or online. They gifted each of our attendees three different flavors, all of which were gluten free. Not only are they gorgeous, but they also taste delightful.
Mables Labels
For years I have been using Mables Labels to label everything for our kids. These labels hold up in the wash, dishwasher and years of wear and tear. Once you go with Mabels Labels you will never go back! They gave each attendee personalized labels to take home for all of their things.
School Yard Snacks & Better than Good Foods
More tasty goodies for our attendees, these gluten free healthy snacks satisfied all of our snack needs. They sent multiple flavors from each of their sister companies, a very generous supply. Check out School Yard Snacks HERE and Better than Good Foods HERE.
Magic Mountain Ears
Last, but certainly not least, my favorite Disney ear company Magic Mountain Ears. She makes the most beautiful, hand crafted ears. She gave a pair to each of us hosts, then sent 3 for us to giveaway to our attendees. We did a fun bingo game in the park and the winners got to pick a pair of the ears.
Speakers of the Magical Media Retreat
The Cannons
A power couple, Liz and Christian, who have both been in the business a long time came to share their knowledge with us. It was such an insightful time where they shared about the platform and the person.
Laura from Lex and Park
Directly from the agency that has represented me for the past two years, my friend and agent, Laura from Lex and Park. She came to share her expertise from the perspective of someone who works directly with the brands.
Kim from Get Away Today
Kim from Get Away Today came to share about the benefits of affiliate marketing. I always learn so much about ways I can improve on my marketing skills.
The Hosts
Myself, Kim and Justine all spoke as well. We covered topics like working smarter not harder, the benefits of Pinterest, growing your business while maintaining a healthy mental load and optimizing your first impression.
What do you think of the Magical Media Retreat 2024? It was definitely a labor of love for the three of us hosts. If you are interested in speaking or attending make sure to follow us on social media for announcements. Almost all images taken by the oh so talented Captivating by Amanda.
