A Relaxation Gift Guide for Mom

“INVEST IN REST”

This post was sponsored by Burke Williams

What do you get for the mom who does it all? Give her the gift of relaxation! I promise I haven’t met a mom yet who didn’t deserve a little Rest and Relaxation. So what are the best gifts to help you achieve that? Well, look no further I am your holiday gift guide guru, you can thank me later.;)

First thing on my list, surprise her with a day at the spa! I recently got to slip away for a day at Burke Williams and it did not disappoint. I have been to the location in Orange, but this was my first time going to their Mission Viejo spa and I didn’t want to leave. I had their new aromatherapy pure relaxation message as well as an “express” facial. Not only do you get to enjoy your services there but they also have a steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi and beautiful lounge areas. They are having some great deals for “Black Friday” and I could not think of a better gift than to actually send the mom in your life to get away from it all for a few hours. They have 10 locations all over California.

After her spa day she is going to want to re-create that same atmosphere at home, so here are a few more suggestions…

The best pajamas to make her feel comfortable and cozy. Did I mention a pair of these pajama pants also help to provide job creation and training to women at risk for human trafficking. It’s a WIN-WIN! Give a pair of these ethically made pj’s and empower women all over the world.

Now that is has been pampered and has the best in lounge wear, mom needs to set a tranquil mood. Try these candles from Preemptive Love Coalition. These candles are handmade by women affected by the war in Iraq. What a great gift for mom or anyone on your list and another great gift that provides help to others in need. There are a few other ideas on the Preemptive Love website that would make great stocking stuffers.

Next, mom might need a little entertainment so why not set her up with the ultimate movie series. A collectors edition of all of her favorite Nicholas Sparks stories. Attaching a box of Kleenex to this one could be a good idea.

Maybe she wants something that will make her laugh and cry? Try the Parenthood Series, it’s one of my favorite TV shows since becoming a mom.

Or perhaps she is more of a book reader than a “Netflix and chill” kind of mom. Why not try this series of books from one of my favorite authors Francine Rivers.

Maybe she is more into vampire love stories? You could get her the Twilight Series to read, because goodness knows you can never have enough werewolves and vampires. LOL!;)

If you are looking for a few really inexpensive ideas try these head scalp messagers. My friend Justine from Little Dove Blog told me “don’t knock it till I try it.” So, evidently it should be on my list.;)

Justine also informed me I need to try these aloe vera therapeutic socks. I suppose I need to expand my horizons a bit, thanks for the suggestions Justine!

If she is still in need of creating a calming surrounding I love using essential oils around the house. Try this diffuser (I love that it has an auto shut off) and just a few simple drops of lavender to help maintain a relaxing mood.

And last, but not least a few more stocking stuffers that can help mom continue her spa like treatments at home. A spa set including a mud mask, exfoliating body scrub and body butter.
