A Stay at the Radisson Blu in Anaheim

“You must go on adventures to find out where you truly belong.” -Sue Fitzmaurice

I always love checking out hotels in the Anaheim area so I can recommend certain places to stay for families heading to Disneyland. A few months ago the Radisson Blu hotel in Anaheim reached out asking if we would be interested in staying on property and after looking at a few of the photos on their website our answer was a big YES!;) But this time I had something a little different in mind for a stay, instead of bringing the family I wanted to plan a retreat for bloggers. I have had this idea for years, but the timing wasn’t right, until now.

So I gathered two of my favorite planners; Kim from The Parentologist and Justine from Little Dove blog to help me plan all the details. I have an entire blog post on the event HERE, but this one is going to be highlighting the hotel and all of its amenities for both families and large groups like ourselves. Thank you to the Radisson Blu for hosting us for the evening. Without further delay here is a stay at the Radisson Blu in Anaheim…

Lobby at Raddison Blu:

As soon as you walk in you are treated to light, bright, clean spaces with plenty of seating to immediately kick up your feet and relax. Loved the big swing, lounge chairs and couches. There were touches of Disney throughout the hotel including some storm troopers that were keeping a watchful eye on things.;)

Rooms at Radisson Blu:

There are lots of options when it comes to rooms at the Radisson Blu hotel. If you have no kids, kids, lots of kids, they have you covered. Plus, you can also request a room with a firework view, which means you can see parts of Disneyland from your room. They have options for two queen beds, two queens and a bunk bed, one king and a bunk bed or just a king size with couch area. Here are a few photos of my room, which had the bunk beds and a king size bed, then I am also going to include some photos from Kim and Justine who each had slightly different room set ups.

Here are some of the other room options…

Pool areas:

There are two pools at the Radisson Blu hotel. One pool on the lobby level, which is perfect for families. It has plenty of seating, a splash pad and the water is warm all year round. There is also a large area with a fireplace and more seating just adjacent to this pool.

The second pool is on the 12th floor near the rooftop bar and restaurant. This pool is for ADULTS only. I actually LOVE when hotels give a separate pool for adults because if you are there with your kids you don’t want to worry about splashing the adults who may just be there to sunbath and relax. Then on the reverse, if I am there with just my husband, or other adults, I know we can enjoy the quiet of the adult only area.

Restaurants/Places to Eat:

There are quite a few places on property to eat. A quick service, on the go breakfast is called Blu Marketplace open from 6:30-11:30 daily. It is located right next to the lobby, convenient if you are rushing out to Disney in the morning.

There is Fire Lake open for breakfast 7-10:30am daily and dinner 5-9pm. This is more of a sit down option located on the first floor, but the atmosphere is very pretty and they have a large room for meetings as well.

Lastly, there is Blu Sky only open in the evenings at 5pm, located on the 12th floor with the gorgeous views! This was rated the top rooftop restaurant of 2021 by OC Magazine, so if you want to go, make sure to make a reservation. There is inside and outside seating, the outside has fire pits and large couches.

Shop at Radisson blu:

Forgot something? Don’t worry, they have you covered. There are some super cute Disney items and souvenirs for you to take home.

Conference Rooms at Radisson blu:

We had the California rooms, which was perfect for our size group. We had approximately 20 ladies in the room including attendees and speakers. There were great big windows so we had natural lighting and plenty of space for us to have a buffet brunch, drink area, and speaker table.

Transportation to Disney:

Although the Radisson Blu doesn’t have its own individual bus that takes you to Disneyland, there is a super easy option for transportation. It is called A.R.T and it is the Anaheim Resort Transportation. Once you are in the lobby you can scan a QR code with your phone and set up a time to get picked up from the hotel or Disneyland. It is only $6 for an all day pass for adults and $2.50 for children, which is cheaper than any parking lot at Disney!! We partnered with A.R.T to go to Downtown Disney, then back to the hotel and it was very convenient.
