Toy Story 4 Movie Review + Activity Sheets
“You’ve got a friend in me.”
I have grown up watching the Toy Story movies, so when Disney announced they were making Toy Story 4 I was ecstatic. These movies have evoked such emotions for me through the years and I’m so glad we get to share the iconic characters with our kids now. We got to see a preview of the film and I wanted to share our experience with all of you…
A full review of @toystory plus printable activity sheets. #toystory4 Click To TweetBrief Synopsis: Woody, Buzz, Jesse and the whole gang are back for an all new story. When Toy Story 3 ended the toys were left with a new friend Bonnie to care and play with them. When Toy Story 4 begins we are introduced to what happens to Little Bo Peep, who had gone missing in the last film. We also see Bonnie go off to Kindergarten for the first time and create a new friend named Forky. When Forky comes home he has a hard time adjusting to life as a toy so Woody then takes it upon himself to make sure Forky is safe on a road trip. Woody ends up on an unexpected detour that includes a reunion with Bo Peep. While trying to save Forky from a group of new characters at an antique store, Woody and Bo Peep realize they are world’s apart when it comes to life as a toy.
What Ages do I suggest to see it? I think this movie is safe for the entire family, all ages!
Length: 90 minutes
Rating: G
Release to Theater: June 21, 2019
Other Info: There are quite a few new characters introduced in the film; Forky, Ducky and Bunny, Duke Caboom and Gabby Gabby. All of the characters we fell in love with immediately, except for one. Gabby Gabby is an antique doll that hasn’t been played with because of a faulty voice box. She surrounds herself with a group of rather creepy male dummies, or ventriloquist dolls, that literally made me jump out of my seat a few times. If your little one is super sensitive I would just give them a heads up about these dummies and that Gabby Gabby will eventually end up being a friend of Woody’s. Overall, we LOVED the movie and think you all will love it too.
