“Because I knew you, I have been changed for good.”🩷💚 We had the opportunity to see a preview screening of @wickedmovie & boy was I surprised. A little back story…

I was in college when I first saw Wicked on Broadway with the ORIGINAL cast! It. Was. Amazing.🤩 Since then, I’ve seen it a total of 5 times between NY & LA. So, needless to say I’ve seen some pretty amazing talent over the years play these parts. Hence the reason why I was going into this thinking I may leave pretty disappointed…
.
Well, the joke is on me, because the movie was fantastic. The imagery, the costumes, but most importantly (for me), the voices. I really underestimated the talent in this movie. I can honestly say, if you love musicals, you will LOVE this film.🥰 There are even a few surprises that literally had me cheering in the theater.🥳

Part one debuts this Friday, November 22, part two comes out almost a year from now on November 26th, 2025! Have you seen Wicked on stage? Are you planning on seeing the movie?

How do you find your joy? I used to base my joy off of my circumstances. Were good things happening to me? Then I was joyful. If things were going well with my relationships, then I was joyful. But what happens when life hands you continual lemons? Because it does…
.
I’ve learned that when we place all of our hopes & happiness in people, things, circumstances, government, etc…we are bound to be let down, disappointed, even heart broken. Things of this world are temporary (and often damaging), so if we base our joy on that, we will never be satisfied. So how do you find true joy not based on things of this world?
.
The only way I know is through the lens of knowing this world is not our forever home. That there is a perfect place with a Heavenly Father that will make everything new with him. With no more tears & no more pain. So no matter what has happened this week (if your candidate won OR lost), you won’t be shaken OR prideful. You will continue to keep your eyes on the good you can do for others for you have been shown the greatest goodness through the work on the cross…
.
And that is JOY. Joy that can last. Joy that can wake you each morning to want to do better than the day before. Joy not dependent on anything in THIS world, for we are meant for so much more.💕🙌🏼
