And just like that 7 years of elementary school are over.🥹 It feels like I blinked & my baby is heading off to middle school. 🏫 He will never spend this much time at any one school ever again, oh my heart.❤️ The changes keep coming & so do the tears.😭 There is really nothing can prepare you for these types of moments in motherhood. It is truly a privilege to watch them grow.🌳 Do you have a child graduating or hitting a big milestone this year?

How was your May? Glad it’s wrapped up? Can you believe we are already in June?😳 Where is this year going??

Life Update: It’s been a little over 3 weeks sin

Life Update: It’s been a little over 3 weeks since the hubby had his full knee replacement surgery. Surgery went well, thank you Jesus. 🙌🏼 PT started the very next day & will continue for the next few months while he recovers at home. It’s been so nice having him home every day, something non of us have ever experienced before.💕

But, if I’m being honest, I’ve been a walking ball of worry.😕Worrying that he is in more pain than he is letting on, worrying he is pushing too hard, worrying I won’t be able to keep up my normal duties & add his on top, worrying I’m not being joyful in this season, then feeling guilty about all my worry.😵‍💫 I know scripture tells us “who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?” Luke 12:15 So, I’m sharing this publicly as a bit of a confession in case anyone else is struggling with worry too. The best medicine I seem to find is constant prayer. So, if I can pray for YOU today, drop your worry below & I would love to pray for you.💕🙏🏼

The end of an era… #lunchboxlovenotes began in 2019 as a simple segment on my stories that everyone seemed to love. I showed daily what I was packing for the kids lunches & the joke or riddle of the day. With approximately 180 days of school x 7 years x 2 kids = 2,520 notes (not all pictured here).😅

But as Colton moves into middle school next year, I feel like it’s time to retire the segment.🥹 It’s bittersweet, BUT the good news is I have plans to forever document our jokes over on the blog. That way you can grab ideas over there anytime you want.👌🏼 Have you ever used one of our jokes? Or used a food idea for a lunch you made?🥰

Colton came home from school yesterday & was excited to teach us what he had learned in music class.🎼 It’s not always easy to stop what you are doing as a parent (b/c we are usually doing ALL THE THINGS), but it’s so important to have fun together. It doesn’t need to take money, just a little time & a willingness to try something new.😉 What was the last thing you did as a family that was simple, yet so fun?
