Fancy French Themed Birthday Party
Our daughter LOVES to be fancy! So, when she said she wanted to have a Fancy French themed Birthday Party, it came as no real surprise.;) I was able to order most of the decorations on line, from Target and Amazon, which I will link below. Then I enlisted the help of some amazing small shops to help me give the party a perfect touch. Let’s get right to the details…

You can’t have a French themed party without the Eiffel Tower, so we found one on Amazon and it was beautiful! We already had a stand to hang a green screen, so we used that for the party, but you could just tape it to a wall if you prefer, or even use a curtain rod. I actually hung the backdrop with tape on our garage prior to the party so I could take a picture for the invitation.
Here is the backdrop the day of the party…
We also purchased a balloon arch on Amazon that was pretty easy to assemble and made a beautiful addition to the Eiffel Tower. We used it to cover up the stand, just make sure to keep it from touching the grass or the balloons will pop.
For the table set up, I contacted a local picnic company that did a fantastic job! She brought the tables, blankets, pillows, table runners, floral arrangements, umbrella and chalk board. She had more options for add-ons and can also take lovely photos for you too. Then when the party was over she came to pick everything up, making clean up super easy. If you are in the Southern California area I would highly recommend checking out Picnicture for all your picnic set up needs.
In addition to the table set up that was provided, I did purchase a few extra Eiffel Towers to have scattered in different areas. I found these on Amazon.
All paper products came from Target, as well as the piñata.

The party favors were super special because they were all from small shops. Each girl got to go home with a wand with her name on it made by MagicLettersShop. She makes letters for kids to play with as well as these new wands.
Then each girl also went home with a masklette from my friend Angela from EllaRow. She makes the sweetest chains for your masks, so you don’t have to set them down and have them get dirty. The ones she sent for Rosie’s birthday had roses on them and were so dainty. We had the masklette tied together with a bow and the wand on each table setting.
In addition to that, we also had Fancy Nancy books for each girl that were actually signed by the illustrator, Robin Glasser. She is a dear friend of ours and she so graciously sent us home with enough books and dolls for everyone. You can click here for a few of our favorite Fancy Nancy books.
As for food we went pretty simple. I, of course, had to order a charcuterie board from my friend Picnic Artisanal Grazing. Loryn makes the most beautiful, and the most delicious, boards for every occasion. Definitely go check out her website to order a box (and she is now also selling wine). I also made a salad for the adults and had fresh fruit.
For the kids food we made jelly and almond butter sandwiches, but shaped them like the Eiffle Tower of course. Here is a link to a cookie cutter you can use to do the same. I also had fresh fruit and croissants, just in case they wanted to really feel like a Parisian. My mom also made the most adorable sugar cookies shaped like hearts and Eiffel Tower’s that were the perfect addition.
We ordered the cupcakes and cake from Ralphs, per usual. There was a mix up when I went to pick them up, so after a few tears, the manager told me he would have them made and personally deliver them to our house. In about an hour he showed up at our door with the exact order I had wanted. So a huge shoutout to Ralphs for making a wrong a right, going above and beyond to fix the situation. I found macaroon’s in the frozen section at Trader Joes and added them to the cupcakes for the perfect Parisian touch.
For the entertainment, I purchased canvas’ for each girl and traced the Eiffel Tower in pencil. Then I put washable paints on the table, along with markers and let them go to work. It felt like the perfect activity for a French themed party for the girls to paint a picture. We also had a piñata for a little extra fun.

It was the perfect Fancy French Themed Birthday Party for our Rosalie Belle. Honestly, I think this party theme would work great for an adult too!
