Lunar New Year at Disneyland
“Good luck, good health, good cheer and Happy New Year.”
I had the honor of being invited to a Mom’s Night Out to Celebrate the opening of the Lunar New Year at Disneyland. I was invited & hosted by Disney and the lovely Erin Ziering. It was such a great night surrounded by wonderful boss moms who all share a love of Disney. We all had such a wonderful time without the kids; having uninterrupted conversations, laughing, eating and just playing the night away. I had actually never been to Lunar New Year and I was pleasantly surprised at how much there was to do, to see and to eat!
We were treated to a sip and savor card which allowed us to go to any Lunar New Year Marketplace booth and try out 6 various food or drink (non-alcoholic). This is definitely cost effective if you plan on going to many booths to get a sample of the different menus. the pass is $39, including tax and you can use your annual pass for a discount. My favorite dish was from the Lucky 8 Lantern and it was the Crispy Shrimp Fried Rice with bacon, it’s a must eat!! And for dessert I tried the Mango-Pineapple Pastry and it was also delicious.
Check out all the details of #LunarNewYear @Disneyland before it's gone!! #disneyland #hosted @disneylandtoday Click To TweetWe also watched Mulan’s Lunar New Year Processional that happens during the day at 12:00, 1:15, 3:00 and 4:15, but always check your Disneyland app for any changes. The live drummers and dancers were fantastic as well as seeing Mulan was a real treat! Mulan and Mushu are available throughout the day to take pictures as well, again, just make sure to check your app for their set times.
I also had to make a stop to look at all the adorable Lunar New Year merchandise and decorations around the park. I just love how festive everything looks!
We also made sure to stop by Disneyland to check out a few of the “Get Your Ears On” Celebrations in honor of Mickey’s 90th birthday. This includes the come back of Mickey’s Soundsational Parade and the new fireworks show called Mickey Mix Magic set to some super fun upbeat Disney favorites.
It was such a fun night out, if you haven’t been to the parks lately there is so much going on you don’t want to miss. So schedule a date night, or night out with the girls or even a family day to go experience all the fun. Lunar New Year is going on NOW until FEBRUARY 17th only!!! And if you missed my post on all the Valentine’s Day fun, make sure you do that too!;)
Thanks for sharing about so many events going on at Disneyland I never knew about!!! So much fun!!!!
Hope you get to see some of them soon!
