“We didn’t realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun.”

I had the opportunity to attend my first blogger event at Legoland Water Park and we were super impressed. We were there to see the new expansion of Surfer’s Cove opening. The area includes Riptide Racers, a slide that you can actually race against your family or friends in an exhilarating timed event. Surfer’s Cove also includes a splash-ground at Wipeout Lagoon and Beach Street Tacos.

Some of the other features that we got to check out around the park included the main 45-foot tower where four main slides twist and turn, using the tower as its starting point. These four slides you must be 42″ to ride.

We hung out in the DUPLO Splash Safari area which has giant DUPLO Zoo animals, interactive spray pads, fountains and teeter totter. This was great for the younger/shorter kids. This spot also has three smaller slides, one our kids could even do together.

Another large attraction area is the Chima Water Park. There are lots of smaller slides, one that will shoot you out of the mouth of an alligator! This is another great area for riders under 42″.

We also took a peek at Pirate’s Reef which is an area that has a water ride. But watch out, even spectators will get drenched if you get too close!;)

Other areas include the Soak n’ Sail, Build-a-Raft River and Orange Rush; a family tube slide. All of these you must be 42″ and over. But there is more for the younger ones with Kid Creek, Joaker Soaker and even an Imagination Station. There is also plenty of seating areas with sand for playtime.

I have lots of other blog posts on Legoland, and both the Legoland Hotel and Castle Hotel. Have you been to any of the Legoland parks or hotel? If so, what is your favorite thing to do?

We want to go! Just showed the kids the pics and they agree 🙂 I’m pretty blown away by how real those lifesize legos look! That’s good to know they have things for such little ones and big kids!

We LOVE the Legoland hotel! Make sure to go on the elevator, it’s fun for the kids. They do such a great job at the Legoland hotel. We’re actually headed there on Sunday I think. The kids can’t wait!
