Top 5 Things to do at Magic Kingdom
“You’re never too old to be young.” –Happy from Snow White & the 7 Dwarfs
We had the honor of being part of the Disney Creators Conference, which allowed us to visit all the parks at Disney World for the second time. There is so much to do at each park, you could spend a week at Disney World and still not see it all. I asked the kids and hubby and we all agreed on what we think are “must-do’s.” Here is our list of top 5 things to do at Magic Kingdom. I gave a few options within each number, not so you feel like you need to do each one, but to make sure families with different ages/heights had multiple choices.
I paid for my ticket to the Disney Creators Conference, but it was heavily discounted. All opinions and photos are mine.
These are in no particular order, and keep in mind that we are Disneyland annual pass holders, so we try to do things that we don’t have in California that are unique to just Disney World. I also want to point out that Magic Kingdom is the perfect place to SLOW DOWN. Take pictures in front of the castle, enjoy some Mickey shaped desserts, sit on a bench on Main Street and just enjoy the atmosphere. Without further delay here is our list of the top 5 things to do at Magic Kingdom.
1. Fireworks Show! Hands down “Happily Ever After” is the best fireworks show we have ever seen!! It makes me cry every time we see it.
2. Fantasy Land: Enchanted Tales with Belle (any age) is the sweetest story time where kids get to play different roles of Belle’s story. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (38″) is a great ride for kids of all ages. Gastons Tavern is a fun place to grab a drink and to be on the look out for Gaston himself. Be Our Guest Restaurant Or Cinderella’s Royal Table are lovely places to have a nicer meal. Be Our Guest for lunch is a casual, walk up service, but dinner is a 3-course meal where the Beast comes out to visit. We could only get a reservation for lunch, which we mobile ordered ahead of time and so thankful we did, it saved us a ton of time in line! The food was excellent and I would love to try to go back for dinner. Cinderella’s Royal Table you do get to eat and meet princesses along the way.
Top 5 Must Do's @waltdisneyworld for #MagicKingdom #disneycreators #hosted Click To Tweet3. Frontier Land: Magic Carpets of Aladdin (all heights), splash pad (which is right across from the Magic Carpets and on a hot day is the perfect place to cool off), dole whip from the Sunshine Tree Terrace or Aloha Isle, both are very close to the Magic Carpet ride.
4. Main Street Entertainment: Watch the day parade “Festival of Fantasy” and/or the street party “Move it! Shake it! MousekeDance it!”
5. Storybook Circus: The Barnstormer (35″) is a great first rollercoaster for the smaller kiddo (reminds me of Gadget’s Coaster in Toon Town at Disneyland). Casey Jr. Splash n’ Soak Station is an awesome place to cool off on a hot day (be prepared for your kids to get very wet). Pete’s Silly Side Show to meet characters is a fun area and all air conditioned.
I want to mention that we, of course, love Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Tomorrowland Speedway (which is called Autopia at Disneyland), and Pirates of the Caribbean, but again, because we have these rides in California we choose to do things that are more unique to Magic Kingdom.

I REALLY want to ride the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, it looks so fun!
It’s a super cute ride, similar to Thunder Mountain, but themed for Snow White. One of our favorites!
