Zombies 3 Movie Review
“Someday, we could be something extraordinary.” -Zombies
We had the privilege of being invited to the World Premiere of Zombies 3 in Los Angeles before it hits Disney+ on July 15th, 2022. Our kids are HUGE Zombies fans, so they were ecstatic when we told them about going to see it a week early.
If you are not familiar with the movie series, think High School Musical but half of the kids are Zombies. Not to worry, they are friendly Zombies, no one gets eaten or attacked. There is lots of singing and dancing, the music is super catchy and the characters are over the top fun. In the second movie we are introduced to a group of werewolves, again, not to worry, they turn out to be pretty friendly too. If you can’t tell, the main theme is not judging a book by its cover! If you like cheesy musicals, you are gonna love these!;)
So, now lets get to the Zombies 3 movie review…

It is the final year for main characters Zed and Addison at Seabrook High School. The town has finally accepted the Zombies and Werewolves, making it safe for all “monsters” and humans. However, the town is shocked by the arrival of a new group of intergalactic outsiders; aliens. They allow the Aliens to stay and to even compete in the international cheer competition, but turns out the Aliens may be looking for more than a friendly competition.

Other info about zombies 3:
In this section I always try to give any kind of warnings if I see something that is scary or inappropriate for young kids. Honestly, although the movie has groups of Zombies, Werewolves and Aliens it goes against the typical stereotypes. There is no bad/foul language, no nudity, no violence. There is some romance; the two main characters, Zed and Addison share one kiss, but nothing inappropriate (in my opinion). There are other romances between kids in the school, some hold hands, hug or just give a longing look (including two female characters).
Fun Facts about zombies 3:
- This is the first movie in the Zombies franchise to be solely released on Disney+. Although an encore performance will air on Disney Channel on August 12, 2022.
- There are 8 new songs and dance numbers.
- Kylee Russell, who plays Eliza, was actually pregnant while filming most of the movie. She gave birth on July 10th, 2021 right before they were finished filming in late July. We actually met her and her daughter at the premiere!
World Premiere of Zombies 3
I couldn’t finish the article without sharing some of our fun photos from the night we saw the movie and got to meet most of the actors. Our kids were in seventh heaven taking pictures with everyone, especially our daughter who even had a Zombies themed birthday party last year, which you can read about HERE.
Hope you enjoyed our movie review, if you are looking for other reviews, you can find them HERE. Have you watched any of the Zombies movies yet? BTW: We made our son’s shirt by doing a bit of tie-dye then ironing on the letter Z, didn’t it turn out great?!?
