A Review of the Cambria Hotel in Anaheim

We had the privilege of being a hosted guest at the Cambria Hotel and Suites in Anaheim and we had the best time. It was the perfect place to kick off our summer vacation and the ultimate destination if you are heading to the Anaheim area. Here is a bit more about our stay…

Lobby at the Cambria

There is a spacious lobby area with sitting area’s and even TV’s for the kids to enjoy while checking into the hotel. There is a bar area where you can get a drink and some food, plus you also have a great view of the water park area.

Rooms

We were super happy with our room, well actually rooms (plural). We were in the King Suite room, which is actually two rooms; a kitchen/living room with a pull out bed, and the bedroom with a King size bed and bunk beds. The bathroom had two showers, which was also a huge bonus to us so we could bath the kids at the same time an adult was showering.

Pools/Water Park at the Cambria

Probably the highlight for the kids was the water park. There are two large slides, splash pads, large pool, wading pool for toddlers and a hot tub (although the jets were disabled). I especially loved that not only was the pool heated, but the slides and splash pads were also heated!

Free Continental Breakfast

What parent doesn’t love to save a little money on a meal? We always love when hotel’s offer a free continental breakfast. This was complete with eggs, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal bar, bagels, fresh fruit, and even Mickey waffles. I was even able to ask for a gluten free bagel, which went perfect with my eggs and fruit.

Distance to Disneyland from the Cambria

If you are driving, the distance to Disneyland is less than 5 minutes, walking is about 20 minutes. We actually did both, for research purposes, we didn’t mind the walk on the way to the parks, but on the way back to the hotel we were pretty tired and it felt a bit too long.

There is a shuttle service called ART that you can arrange by scanning a QR code when you check into the hotel, but there is a small fee to use it. It is $6 for adults and $2.50 for children for an all day pass.

Another option would be to walk to the Toy Story parking lot off of Katella and Harbor, then take the free shuttle from that lot to the parks. But you do have to collapse any strollers.

Places around the Cambria

Wondering if there is anything to eat around the hotel? No problem, the Cambria is actually in the same shopping center as a Starbucks, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Yogurtland, Habit Burger Grill, California Fish Grill, Luna Grill and Ono Hawaiian BBQ. Also, just down the street you will find The Garden Walk which has Cheesecake Factory, Roy’s, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and more.

Other Anaheim Attractions near the Cambria

Besides Disneyland, there are lots of close by Anaheim attractions within minutes of the Cambria. It is super close to the Angels Stadium, which is perfect if you wanted to go see a baseball game. Just around the corner is the Honda Center where you could catch a Ducks Hockey game or a concert.
