A Stay at the Hilton in Anaheim
We had the honor of being hosted by the Hilton in Anaheim for our second annual Magical Media Retreat and it was perfection. I was really blown away at the level of service, attention to detail, cleanliness, spacious rooms, amazing food and more. Here are some of the highlights of the Hilton in Anaheim…
The Lobby at the Hilton
As soon as I walked in, I was in awe. The lobby is super spacious with lots to do. There is a bar area called MIX where you can sit, grab a drink and some food. To the left of the entrance is the check-in desk, plus a convenience store. If you walk a few more steps you will find yourself at the Starbucks. There is a full service restaurant on the lobby level as well as more shops, FedEx and a quick service food court.
Rooms at the Hilton Anaheim
Just like the lobby, the rooms are very spacious. We had the bonus of staying in a suite that had an adjoining room so our kids could sleep in one area and parents in a separate area. This was a huge hit for both parents and kids. 😉 There was a pull out couch, which could have allowed for another 2 people to sleep, making the room work for families of 6 comfortably. The bathrooms had shower/tub combo’s and there was a mini-fridge with a sink area as well.
The Pool Area at the Hilton
Our kids loved the pool area, especially the fun splash pad. The large pool was heated, which was perfect since we were there on a colder weekend and there are two hot tubs as well. The deck area was welcoming with fire bowls and plenty of seating.
Meeting Spaces
We had the pleasure of meeting in two different meeting areas at the Hilton. First was the Vista Lounge, which is on the 14th floor and had awesome views of the Disneyland area. The second was the Avalon Room, which held our actual conference sessions for a group of about 20 (but could handle more).
Vista Lounge
The Vista Lounge was the absolute perfect place for our cocktail reception welcoming our guests to the retreat. There was a mix of cocktail tables and seated tables and chairs as well as a couch area. We had plenty of space for our buffet of hors d’oeuvres and drinks, plus a fantastic view of Disneyland and even the fireworks. The food for our cocktail hour was some of the best food I’ve ever had. The quality, taste, presentation was all exceptional.
The Avalon Room
This room was located right off of the lobby, which was super convenient for anyone not staying at the hotel. Our room could have easily fit about 25-30 people, and that was only half of the space. We also had access to a foyer area, which is where they set up our brunch buffet. And speaking of brunch, once again, we were blown away at the amazing quality of food the Hilton provided. There were also lots of gluten free options, which I really appreciated.
Surrounding Area
There is so much to do that is in walking distance of the hotel. Right outside and a few short steps to the right you will find yourself at the Anaheim Convention Center, which holds lots of events throughout the year. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping near by as well.
Transportation
If you are looking for an easy, quick and affordable way to get around the area, then look no further than Ride Art Bus. All you have to do is scan a QR code and wait right outside the lobby to be picked up or dropped off. We took a shuttle to the main bus depot at Disneyland and walked to our dinner reservation at Downtown Disney. They also supply transportation to the Honda Center, Angel Stadium, the Garden Walk and more!
Other
There were also activities that were family friendly on the lobby level. My kiddos loved getting their faces painted then taking some pictures with Elsa. The Hilton Anaheim has different plans as seasons change, but this spring you can find face painting and characters mostly on the peak Friday’s. My husband also made sure to show me the amazing gym, located on the base floor, which was the nicest hotel gym I’ve ever seen.

Location might be great, but from the looks of the hotel and all the amenities I’m not sure I would ever want to leave!!! ❤️
You really don’t have to leave!;)
You got some great shots of the hotel. I love that it’s in a such an ideal location–with access to ART, walking distance to Disneyland, and right across the street from the Toy Story parking lot! I definitely want to go back with the kids.
Yes! They say, location, location, location…and it’s a good one!;)
