An Algorithm Free Social Platform

(This post was sponsored by Clickher, but all opinions are my own)

Anyone else get tired of logging into social media platforms and being fed information that is based on algorithms? An algorithm is commonly used for the set of rules a machine (especially a computer) follows to achieve a particular goal. It can also be the steps followed or procedure that determines what kind of information is retrieved. So, in reference to social media, algorithms can cause certain posts to be hidden for a variety of reasons. Now enter an algorithm free social platform…

What is Clickher?

Clickher is a beauty and fashion app designed by a diverse team of women from all over the USA. They scour the internet and other social networks for the latest styles, tips, and trends every day, then share their discoveries on Clickher. It is a completely algorithm-free feed, meaning a post will not be pushed to the top of your feed based on the amount of likes it may get or based on what the app wants you to see. Clickher spotlights less-known content creators/bloggers that you might miss on other social media platforms. Consider it an alternative to mindless scrolling on social media, putting you in the drivers seat of what you see.

Who is it for?

Clickher is an app created by women for women, but some topics may be of interest to some of the guys out there too!;)

What can you find?

Currently you can search topics, or filter your feed, based on “beauty,” “decor,” “fashion,” “holiday,” and “self.” Throughout the year, Clickher also features timely categories such as Holiday or Festival Season. I was able to click on decor for a filter and found lots of suggestions for spring cleaning ideas, which is exactly what I needed. You can see the before and after of a project I did with some of the helpful tips I found on Clickher. I was also able to do a few organizing tricks in my bathroom, dresser and closet.

What’s the catch?

I haven’t found one yet, but I will keep you posted. 😉 I actually hope that they add more categories like cooking or baking.

Where can you find Clickher?

You can download Clickher in the Apple app or Google play stores. Will you try Clickher, an algorithm free social platform, on for size?

I love this idea! I don’t do social media for this very reason (among others) but this could actually work for me. Thanks for sharing!
