Disney Movies around the World
“There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow shinning at the end of every day.” -Walt Disney
Since we won’t be traveling anywhere for our spring break this year, I decided we still needed a fun activity. So I came up with the idea that we can travel around the world by watching Disney movies. I shared the idea on Instagram and I had such great feedback that I figured I would put together our plan and share it here in case anyone wanted to do the same thing as us.
I created a passport for the kids to put together. Each day we will fill out the movie and which country/city we are traveling to, in addition to learning about that place. We will color their flag, eat common foods, play a game/do an activity and even dress the part. This way the kids can still learn, but learn through play and we can even incorporate our favorite Disney movies. I call that a win-win!!;)
Travel around the world with Disney movies all from home! #stayhome #lifeathome #disneymovies #disneymoviesaroundtheworld Click To TweetSo here are some of the tools we will be using that you can also print off at home. They are completely FREE to use, no strings attached. All I ask is that if you use them, please tag me on social media in a picture so I can see all of the wonderful things you are doing.
I have a list some of the activities and foods I am planning on doing for each country. Please feel free to do your own research if you don’t think your kids would like a certain activity or food. Consider this a good starting point for you and your family to do a bit of your own investigating of places from around the world.
Here is the passport. There is a front cover that each child can fill out with their name, age and where they live. They can also color in the flag for their country or state, whichever you prefer. There are inside pages, I plan to print one per movie we watch. Again, they can color in the flag based on the location of the movie, add a food you try to eat and the activity. If your child isn’t writing, drawing a picture is great too! Once you click “print” there is an option to add more to a page, I choose 4 per page (you may have to do this from a computer). Click on the link to download and print.
Here is a list of the movies we plan to watch, along with food ideas and activities. Most of the suggestions are based on either the country or the movie. I tried to pick foods and activities that were EASY to do with things you most likely already have at home. Feel free to print this as well, just click the link.

Disney has also started a new website called DISNEY MAGIC MOMENTS with a ton of great ideas for you to bring the magic home. There is plenty of content to use in correlation with this post!
One more resource for you is an Atlas book we already had, which has been very helpful showing the kids the locations of our movies. If you are looking for a basic atlas, this is definitely a good starter.
So what do you think? Will you join us in traveling with the world with Disney movies from your home??

I love, love, love this idea! I will be doing these activities with my two children to help the second part of summer stay fun and engaging. We’ve already “traveled” to China! Thank you, Jenny, for sharing your hard work and great ideas!
Hooray! I am so glad you will be traveling around the world!! Have so much fun!
In your instastories I see a book with a map and something you are watching on an iPad for when you do your research. Can you tell me about the book and what you are watching? Thanks so much!!
I just added the link to the Atlas book we have been using in the blog post. As for videos, I usually just go to YouTube and type in the country I’m looking for and find different videos that are helpful.
This is the cutest idea friend!!
Thank you so much!!
Printed and planning! Thank you for all your hard work.
