The New Pop Up Disney Exhibit
“It was all started by a mouse.” -Walt Disney
We had the best time at the new Pop Up Disney exhibit at Downtown Disney! The location that once housed the ESPN Zone, a restaurant for many years, has been turned over into a super fun Disney themed pop up shop. It is a place to go and enjoy creative art galleries, fun for the entire family based off of Mickey Mouse himself.
The Pop Up is only for a limited time and starts April 26th, 2019. Daily operations are from 10am-9pm and tickets are required. Monday-Thursday from opening till 4pm the tickets are $30 per person. Evenings and weekends are $38 per person. Tickets are NOT required for children ages 3 and under. There is 5-hour complimentary parking at Downtown Disney and you should arrive approximately 15 minutes before your set time. The entire experience takes about 1 hour to complete, for us that included the waiting room and visiting the gift shop. CLICK HERE to get your tickets.

Here is some of the fun we had…
After checking in you head straight to the waiting room. You can watch cartoons, listen to music or just take some fun photos.
After checking out the map, we headed up stairs to start our tour of all of the different rooms/exhibits.
The first room was full of “LOVE”. Mickey and Minnie and hearts galore!;)
Then we went straight into the “It all Started with a Mouse” room that was completely black and white. There was a wall of Mickey plush toys and we got to find the hidden Minnie one, plus drive Mickey’s steam boat and his plane.
Then we headed to “Mickey’s Friendships” room…
After Mickey and friends there was a cool hallway that led us to “Sorcerer Mickey’s Magic” area. It was a little tricky taking photos since it was so dark, but the lights were twinkling and music was playing.
And then we traveled with “Mickey Around the World” to China and Spain.
We danced down the music filled hallway to find to the “Forever Mickey” room full of light filled Mickey hats and a statue of the mouse himself.
The last room, “Mickey at Disneyland,” was filled with so much color and looked good enough to eat!;)
After we were done upstairs, we went back downstairs to spy the new gift shop with merchandise especially made for the new Pop Up Disney exhibit.
There are also exclusive treats you can purchase from Marceline’s Confectionery at Downtown Disney when you show them your ticket from the Pop Up Disney exhibit.
Overall, we had a great time at the new Pop Up Disney exhibit, in fact I want to go back because I feel like I could have taken more pictures (crazy I know)! We love all things Disney and taking photographs, but if those things don’t interest you, then it may not be the place for you.;) hehe. I think it’s a great activity to do this spring/summer if your annual passes are blocked out, or you can’t get into Star Wars Land, then head over to the Pop Up for a little bit of Disney magic.
So, what do you think, wanna go for a visit?:)
