Zion White Bison Resort Review

We spent four magical nights in a deluxe tipi at Zion White Bison Resort for our spring break and it completely exceeded our expectations. Part Little House on the Prairie fantasy, part comfortable luxury. Our tipi balanced cozy, homey charm with thoughtful modern touches. There are also covered wagons, cliff dwellings, RV hookups and more. Here is our Zion White Bison Resort Review…

We were hosted for two out of our four evenings, but all opinions are mine.

Inside Space

We stayed four nights in one of the deluxe tipis and the interior was cozy, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. The parents had a king-size bed and the kids slept on two futons (bedding provided), so everyone had space to relax. The large bathroom with a full shower, toilet, and vanity made life easy and felt far more comfortable than a typical glamping setup.

Outdoor Space

The outdoor area felt like Little House on the Prairie-level charm, only elevated. The full kitchen (fridge, microwave, one stove, BBQ, ice maker, bar area) came stocked with cookware and essentials, so we could cook easily. A firepit with chairs sat right by a small lake with stunning mountain views, perfect for making s’mores. The private hot tub was my favorite. After long, hiking days, it was pure bliss on our sore bodies. We spent every evening in it, sharing stories and reconnecting as a family.

Common Areas

The property has plenty to do beyond your tipi (or other dwelling). There’s a large heated pool and a communal hot tub available to all guests (including RV folks). You will also find a basketball court, pickle-ball, corn hole, and table tennis. A convenient store on-site saved us when we forgot small items. The grounds are well-kept and family-friendly.

Location

The resort is about 20 minutes from the Zion National gate entrance. If you’d rather not drive or deal with parking, the resort’s shuttle is a great option. It made accessing Zion easy while letting us come back to peaceful, private accommodations at day’s end.

Zion White Bison Resort Review

We’re frugal travelers, but would 100% recommend splurging for the upgraded tipis or wagons with full kitchens, lake views, and private hot tubs. It delivered an unforgettable, unique experience; charming, comfortable, and perfect for family time after big days exploring Zion.
