The Magical Media Retreat 2026

Our 4th annual Magical Media Retreat at the Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel was a beautiful labor of love and celebration. The planning seemed a little more challenging this time around, but in the end, it was all worth it. The retreat was two days of learning, collaborating, connecting, and laughing, a reminder of why we keep bringing creators together each year.

Speakers

Stephanie Dulgarian (Some What Simple Living): Stephanie delivered practical, heartfelt advice on balancing authenticity with content strategy, leaving attendees inspired to simplify and strengthen their creative voices. She had an applicable worksheet for everyone to put her advice into action, which even left me feeling inspired to make changes to my old, tired ways. She has been in the online business space a long time and knows what works and what doesn’t. We were all very appreciative of her honesty and candor.

Veena Crownholm: Veena’s session combined inspiration on honing in on your talents and an open dialogue for attendees to ask questions and get answers. She also brought a simple craft to share, since crafting is how she inspires her online community. It was the perfect mix of education and fun.

Hosts

Princess Turned Mom (myself): I decided to speak on pitching and securing travel partnerships. It is a topic I love and have done repeatedly over the past 11 years of blogging. It has definitely changed over time, but it is still something I am passionate about sharing with my community.

Justine (Little Dove Blog): Justine brought her expertise in the world of AI. How to use it for our businesses, the different types of AI, when not to use AI, and more. It was a very insightful and thought provoking discussion.

Kim (The Parentologist): Kim curated a thoughtful session on creating content that resonates on different platforms. All the while encouraging us to know our value and worth when working with brands. She also shared all about her new parenting book, “Parenting through Play,” which you can pre-order now.

Sponsor

Chatbooks: The owner of Chatbooks, Vanessa Quigley, flew into town to not only support our event, but to speak and inspire our attendees. She spoke about the importance of getting our memories off of our phones and into actual books that we can hold. I am super guilty of never getting photos printed or books made because it seems too daunting. The nice thing about Chat Books is how easy they make it for you to get your photos straight from your phone, into their app, then straight to your door. I already ordered two books, one for each child, and I am so excited to have this tool. I highly recommend their services! Check out their site HERE and use my discount code PRINCESSTURNEDMOM.

Visit Buena Park: Visit Buena Park provided bags for all of our attendees, along with chargers, pens, and a guide to all things Buena Park. It is a prime location in SoCal, so many amazing travel spots.

Beddys: Beddys kept our cozy vibes strong, giving each attendee a travel blanket. Perfect for relaxing and cozying up in the car or on the plane. We have used Beddy’s bedding for years in the kids rooms and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Use my discount code PRINCESS when shopping their site!

Owala: Owala kept everyone hydrated and stylish with durable, travel-ready bottles and tumblers. Our entire family has been using their water bottles for years, so I can say from experience, they are the best! Shop my exact one HERE.

Primally Pure: Primally Pure supplied clean, effective self-care products. I love the smell of the orange creamsicle chapstick that they sent and I look forward to trying more of their natural products.

Crae.home: Crae.home added lovely, practical home goods that inspired a touch of spring. I am loving the new hand towl and washcloth they gifted us.

Mystique Bags: Mystique Bags offered stylish, functional bags that make packing and travel feel effortless. They have a variety of purses and bags on their site, our attendees loved picking out one that fit them best.

Op Games: Op Games brought fun, interactive games which fueled connection and play during downtime. We’ve already played one of the new games at home as a family and had a blast.

Pilot Pen: Pilot Pen kept note-taking and content planning flowing with reliable, smooth-writing pens. We’ve been using these pens for years and they are the best.

Frownies: Frownies provided skincare treats that helped guests feel refreshed and camera-ready. I have been using Frownies for a long time and love the non-invasive effects they have at smoothing out the wrinkles.

Love Corn: Love Corn supplied crunchy, tasty snacks that were a hit between sessions. My kiddos love their snack packs and I love that it’s a non-sugary treat.

Undercover Snacks: Undercover Snacks offered convenient, family-friendly treats that fueled our busy days. This sweet treat packed a crunch without tons of sugar.

Crispy Green Snacks: Crispy Green Snacks rounded out the snack lineup with wholesome, crunchy options everyone loved. Mango and pineapple might be my favorite!

Photographer

Captivating by Amanda: Amanda captured the weekend beautifully, as she always does. She documented candid moments, headshots, speaker highlights, our fun park day at Knott’s Berry Farm and so much more. I love that she is able to document the friendly, warm energy of the retreat so we can relive it all.
