Home Sweet Home

Our Home Remodel Reveal

“Living through a home renovation is like living in the wild…you do whatever it takes to survive.”

Well, we are finally ready to debut our home remodel reveal! It has been quite the journey since we began demo on July 9th, but I can happily say our home looks absolutely beautiful!!! A huge thanks to my amazing husband who acted as the general contractor for most of the work and lost about 15 pounds from all the stress. It wasn’t easy and I’m pretty sure he wanted to throw in the towel more than just a few times, but we hung in there and the result is cry worthy.

In case you missed our demo blog and video, you can go read/watch that HERE and I highly suggest you do!;) It’s amazing to see how much work just went into the first 4 days of construction.

There are still a few things we haven’t finished yet, like hanging pictures back on the walls, a few towel racks and a little touch up paint here and there, BUT I keep saying PROGRESS OVER PERFECTION. So instead of waiting for everything to be just PERFECT we are sharing our progress, which is pretty incredible, if I do say so myself.

So without further delay, here is the video of our home remodel…

Now that you have watched the video here are a few more pictures of the house…

Another HUGE SHOUTOUT to BEDROSIANS for working with us on all of the tile and counters for the house. Every inch of backsplash, countertops and tile are all from their beautiful showroom. They have amazing customer service and such a wide variety of selections, there is definitely something for everyone. They did give me a “media discount” but even if they hadn’t my feelings would still be the same. You can find their products online or in one of their many showrooms over the U.S.

Here are the direct links for the products we used from Bedrosians (these are NOT affiliate links)…

*Backsplash: Chloe in white

*Bathroom Floors & Niche: White Carrara (we used a herringbone pattern that is a special order, they have the chevron pattern in stock online)

Besides the large purchases of appliances and counters, we did not realize the amount of shopping we would have to do for all of the smaller things. During this entire process many home improvement stores did not always have what we needed. So Amazon became our best friend for most of our products, especially since finding a true matte black was very difficult (everything seemed to be “brushed nickel”).

Here are the links to products that we used around the house (these ARE AFFILIATE LINKS)…

*Handles for cabinets

*Pendant lighting: Dining Room, Peninsula and Bathroom

*Black Bar Stools

*Towel Racks & Toilet Paper Holder

*Larger Towel Rack

*Bathroom Mirror

*Kitchen Sink

*Kitchen faucet

*Top Switch Garbage Disposal

*Bathroom faucet

*Bathroom Shower Head

*Shower Temperature Control Valve

*Shower Drain

I love the opening quote Baby!!! So true! We DID it!!! …and we survived! Thanks for being right by my side through it all. You wore many hats through the last few months (including designer, therapist, slave, and both parents) and always managed to patiently “talk me off he ledge” countless times!!! Wonderful job on capturing our entire journey. Your blog is beautiful and your video is perfect! I love you! 💕

  5. Megan

So beautiful! Oh my gosh! You guys did incredible and it’s beautiful. Also, thank you for showing the stained before carpet. I’m always so embarrassed of ours and you helped to remind me that I’m not alone and we all have stained carpet when we have young children involved!

    • Jenny

You are definitely not alone! We still have stained carpet upstairs, I think it’s just part of life with kids!;)

Jenny, it looks absolutely gorgeous! For me my favorite part is a toss-up between your back splash and your new black and white stairs!! You guys did a fabulous job picking everything out, I know how hard it is to make those decisions!

    • Jenny

Thank you so much! I think the stars and the kitchen faucet might be my favorite!;) It turns on with just a touch!!

  8. Sarah @ Foxy's Domestic Side

You guys did an amazing job! so many decisions! Wow, I’m sure you’re glad to be done just before the holidays too! Now you get to decorate it all pretty! Enjoy!

Looks amazing!! So light & bright! I know you must be so glad to have the renovation craziness behind you – it’s not for the faint of heart! We’ve lived thru a kitchen and bathroom reno in our first house! In our current house, we’re in the middle of replacing all the carpet in our house with tile/hardwood and getting new baseboards installed and I’m so ready for the contractors to wrap up and for our house not to be covered in dust!

    • Jenny

Oh the dust is so horrible! I totally understand that feeling of wanting to be done!
